Registering a user account

Researchers from Finnish universities and university hospitals can register as users of the metadata database. To access the service, you need to register for Life Science Login. Please use your Finnish university or government entity account to register with LS Login. You can find more information about LS Login here.

Contributing to the databank

You can upload data into the metadata database through our web service. In order to receive permission to upload data you need to first register to the web service via Life Science Login. Once you have a user account you can go to your user profile and file an access request to change your user role to data provider. Please write a short motivation for why you should be granted the user role of data provider.

Please note that new datasets must be formatted to the BIDS standard. See "BIDS data structure" below.

Data analysis pipelines

We will provide an automated data analysis workflow for MEG resting state data that projects the sensor-level power spectra to the cortical surface. The analysis workflow allows for adding individual-level data to the normative database. Stay tuned for the first release.

The BIDS data format

Before uploading the data it should be converted to the BIDS data structure format. The data needs to pass the BIDS validator to be accepted into the database. Read more about the BIDS data structure and the BIDS validator here.
